A Cozy St Augustine Newborn Session

There is nothing greater than a cozy in home little lifestyle newborn session, especially in our quaint town of St. Augustine! When Stephanie and Rome asked me to come to their home to capture these most precious moments for them I was beyond thrilled! After capturing Stephanie, and Romes maternity session in June, I was truly looking forward to seeing who their sweet little man would look like!

Upon arrival to their home I was welcomed with open arms! Stephanie and Rome have two big dogs, so they were put away so that no barking would wake the baby! We began their session with Baby E and mama next to their open window. Stephanie and Rome have a lot of natural light in heir home! This light mixed with their neutral color scheme make for the perfect photo space!

Once Stephanie and baby E. were settled in and feeling comfortable we called for Rome to come join us! I love when new mothers and fathers are both a part of the newborn session! Each parent plays a different role in the childs life, and both are equally important! Stephanie exudes that maternal energy of nurturing love and care, while Rome truly is the protector!

A newborn nursery filled with love!

Stephanie and Rome decorated the most beautiful nursery with elements that both parents love! Rome is very into golfing, and Stephanie loves Harry Potter, and StarWars!. I love that they used a neutral green that baby E can grow with as he ages! Rome hand crafted this wainscoating! I just think it was SO lovely!

Sweet Baby Details

I believe that one of the most important parts of a newborn session is capturing babys details. From their hands to their toes to their little lips. Within a few weeks our babies go from squishy little nuggetss to full blown babies! By the time our babies turn one year old they no longer even resemble the baby that they were during the newborn stage! So I was sure to capture all of baby E’s details. Stephanie and Rome requested photos of his tiny hands with their wedding bands. I always love this classic, timeless shot!

The finale of our St Augustine Newborn Session

For the last little bit of our session we moved back to the living room. Generally I love to use mom and dads room too, however for Stephanie and Rome the light in their living room was just TOO GOOD to pass up! The glow coming from the sliding glass doors behind them just truly made this family glow!

For about the last 5-10 minutes of their session we welcomed the dogs out! I LOVE incorporating fur babies into sessions! As we all know usually they were our first babies, and any good dog parent knows that they are a true part of any family! These two were really good boys! I even got one of them to model for me!!!
