Hey there, and thank you so much for considering or booking Ashley Dye Photography for your family lifestyle session in St Augustine, Florida! In this blog I want to cover a little bit of what you can expect from your session! Whether you are local, or traveling I am so happy to serve you here in St. Augustine!

Lets Talk Locations For your lifestyle session. St Augustine, Jacksonville, or Palm Coast?

During our initial inquiry process for your St Augustine lifestyle session I love to discuss location options! In St. Augustine I have a few different locations that I absolutely love depending on the vibe that you want for your session! If you are really dreaming of a beautiful beach session my two favorite beaches are Vilano Beach and Marineland Beach! Both of these beaches have more than just white sand. Vilano Beach has gorgeous gray rocks, and Marineland has beautiful brown earth toned rocks! A few other locations that I really love for your session are the streets of Downtown St. Augustine and Robert D. Hayling Freedom Park! If you are interested in locations outside of St. Augustine including Jacksonville, and Palm Coasst I highly recommend The Cummer Museum, Washington Oaks and Gardens, Moms Park, etc. Just to name a few.

Becoming officially official!

After we have set a date and chosen our location to become officially booked for your lifestyle session I will send over our proposal! The next steps are signing our contract, and a 40% retainer! This locks us in for your session date! Without these two things we are not considered booked!

During the process I am here to help you 100%! Personally I believe that chatting about wardrobe and outfits is absolutely one of my favorite past times! In my opinion outfits that are coordinated but not matchy-matchy are the best! I do have a few items in my client closet that I am happy to bring along to the session (upon request)!

Our session date- St Augustine, Jax or beyond!

In this paragraph, we are going to chat about the best part our session date! The morning of our session I suggest having everything that you will be wearing cleaned and hanging ready to go! Preparedness is key!!! On the day of the session it is important to make sure that everyone has had plenty of water, because Florida is hot! Not only that, but having a snack before our session can be the deal breaker between happy and upset kiddos! Even if that snack is just a quick apple in the car! Once you arrive to the session get ready to be silly with your babies!

To get the reactions that we are aiming for I will use a mixture of posing and prompts! Some of my favorite prompts include “look at the person whos feet are the stinkiest”. These prompts usually get lots of giggles! I may ask a baby to touch mommys nose, similarly I may have yall sing lullabies, or play tickle fights!

Gallery Delivery for your lifestyle session!

Finally, the true best part of this process gallery delivery! Generally within the first 48 hours after your session you can expect to receive sneak peeks! Your full gallery will be delivered within 3 weeks time leaving you with gorgeous moments and memories that your family can cherish forever!
